Working as an artist, designer, educator, or craftsman for the vast majority of my life has brought me a variety of skills. My education is in art, I have a BFA from California College of Arts & Crafts and an MA in Graphic Design from California State University, Fullerton. I have worked in masonry, welding. carpentry, fiberglass, paint, print, and graphic design. I was Department Chair and Associate Professor Art at Long Beach City College for 20 years.

My process starts with defining goals and parameters. From there, I determine materials and tools as well as a projected timeline. The final step is consulting with experts and realizing most of my suppositions need reconsidering. I pause, and do it the right way.
